TALON was one of the most important American zipper manufacturers during World War II. TALON zippers were used on a wide variety of American military clothing and equipment, including flight clothing, coveralls, bags and other military equipment.
These zippers originate from a larger quantity of unused old factory stock. They are particularly interesting for collectors, restorers, reenactors and makers looking for genuine vintage TALON hardware.
⚠️ Important: unfinished NOS zippers
These zippers are not suitable as a direct replacement jacket zipper, including applications such as an A-2 flight jacket.
Each zipper is fitted with two sliders, one at each end, and does not have permanent top or bottom stops installed. This means that a slider can run completely off the zipper teeth.
It is technically possible for the buyer or restorer to install suitable zipper stops or modify the zipper for a particular project.
For this reason these zippers are sold as original unfinished NOS factory stock, rather than ready-to-install jacket replacement zippers.
